Wype is an application that helps you review and delete photos and videos from your device by swiping. All processing happens locally on your phone. Wype does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
The essentials
Wype does not collect data. We have no servers that receive your information, we use no analytics tools, we show no advertising, and we share nothing with third parties. Your photos and videos never leave your device.
01 Access to photos and videos
To perform its function, Wype needs permission to access the photos and videos on your device. This access is used solely to display your content within the app and to let you delete it when you choose to.
- Access is local: your files are read and displayed on your device, and are never copied, uploaded, or sent anywhere.
- File deletion is performed by the Android operating system itself, through the standard system confirmation dialog.
- You can revoke this permission at any time from your device settings.
02 Data stored on your device
Wype stores certain operational information exclusively in your device's local storage (never in the cloud or on our servers), for example:
- Your app preferences (visual theme, default deletion mode).
- A record of which items you have already reviewed and which you marked for deletion.
- The counter of deletions performed.
This information stays on your phone and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
03 In-app purchases
Wype offers in-app purchases to unlock premium features. These purchases are processed entirely through Google Play.
- Wype does not receive, see, or store your payment details (card number, etc.). That information is handled exclusively by Google.
- Google's processing of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
04 Network permissions
Wype does not require an internet connection to function and does not send your content over the network. The entire operation of the app works offline.
05 Children
Wype is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, regardless of age.
06 Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, along with the corresponding update date.
